On March 1, 2001, to much fanfare, a new kind of car dealership hit the stage in Sarnia, Ontario. It was a dealership staffed by a group of friends who had the crazy idea that if you treated the customer like you would your own family, they will keep coming back to you. From the outset, it was plain to see that this was no ordinary dealership, from the crazy newspaper promotions to the colouring contests to "Antonio" the Latin Lover spokesperson.

Many years and thousands of sales later, Automax is still building its family of happy customers. And family takes care of family, so the Automax staff support the community in many different ways including SMAA team sponsorships, baseball coaching, HARMONY for kids-even the OPP Golden Helmets Precision Motorcycle Team! To this the team has been able to add accolades such as the Business Achievement Award from the local Chamber of Commerce as well as a new dealership in Chatham, Ontario! When surveyed, Automax clients have a hard time deciding on what they like better: the incredible customer service, the length to which the team will go to find a Dream Car or the warranties that have no fine print!
